Need help finding a crossword answer? Use the
Crossword Solver. If
you're familiar with
regular expressions,
you can do some amazing things with a
Search of AllWords.txt.
If you're into English, i strongly recommend the
Linguistic Fun Page (also hosted by
LRC Enterprises),
the Anagram
Server,
A.Word.A.Day Home
Page, and the English
Server.
Peeve
Central, written by an editor, for editors, is an excellent
example of prescriptive grammar. Read it for humor value only (even
if you're an editor). On the other hand, the
alt.usage.english
(HyperText) FAQ is almost entirely descriptive,
and contains interesting derivations and examples.
For languages in general, the
Human
Languages Page can't be beaten. :)
